for first home purchases. The First Home Plus scheme was amended
in April 2004 to offer stamp duty benefits to first timers (signing
a contract after 4 April 2004) spending up to $600,000 on a new
home. with purchases below $500,000 now attracting a full exemption
of transfer and mortgage duty on the transaction.
